Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso

Makes 1 drink

1 oz. Espresso

2 oz. Vodka

1 oz. Brown Sugar Simple Syrup

½ oz. Unsweetened Oat Milk

Espresso beans, for garnish

 

Brown Sugar Simple Syrup:

¼ cup Water

¼ cup packed Dark Bown Sugar

Pinch of Kosher Salt

 

To make the simple syrup:

In a small saucepan over high heat, whisk together the water, brown sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil and whisk until sugar dissolves.

Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Transfer to a container with a lid. The simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

 

To make the cocktail:

Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Pour in the espresso, vodka, and simple syrup. Cover tightly and shake for about 20 seconds.

Strain into a glass with fresh ice. Drizzle the oat milk on top and sprinkle with a few espresso beans.
